Boxcarr Lissome cheese is produced in Cedar Grove, NC. Lissome cheese is a washed-rind square with a creamy interior and a funky rind. Each wheel is made with local cow's milk before experiencing a beer and brine rinse during maturation. Lissome is semi-soft with a malty funky meatiness flavor with a creamy texture and a savory bite. Lissome Cheese has a long shelf life of 180 days from DOM.
This lovely cheese to pair with beer or a nice glass of wine. It is a wonderful melter. Try on homemade pizza or on an elevated grilled cheese.
We hand-cut and wrap Lissome in wedges of 8 ounces and 1 pound. You can also buy an entire form of approx. 5.5 pounds.
