Original Blue cheese is Point Reyes' first offering that catapulted their cheeses to national recognition. A wonderfully balanced milder blue cheese that is veined throughout with blue-grey mold. Some blue cheeses can be a bit strong for first-timers, but this offering from Point Reyes is easy on the pallette and is great for those new to blues. Great on a cheese board, crumbled over a salad, in dressings, and more!
Aged for a minimum of 6 months, Point Reyes Original Blue has won numerous awards.
We hand-cut and wrap this cheese in wedges of 1 pound and 8 ounces and we also have factory-wrapped 6 oz. wedge available and you can purchase an entire wheel of approximately 6 pounds.
Ingredients:cultured raw cow's milk, salt, enzymes and penicillium roqueforti enzyme (rennet is microbial, classified as vegetarian by the FDA).
