This Smoked Gouda cheese is produced in Holland in some of the world's most modern, computerized dairy plants. Yet, the Gouda cheese is still smoked the old fashioned way; in ancient brick ovens over smoldering hickory chip embers.
The brown, smoky rind is edible, it's the best part of the cheese. It's texture is buttery, creamy and smooth with sweet and salty notes.
