Fleur Verte or “green flower” in French, is a goat cheese shaped like a flower, and colored green by its coat of herbs. This flower-shaped wheel of fresh Loire valley goat's milk cheese is coated with fresh tarragon and pink peppercorns. Which presents an uncomplicated mildness smooth texture within its scalloped-shaped wheel that begs for presentation. Since 1982, Chevrefeuille has been specializing in goat’s milk cheeses produced in the heart of the Perigord region of France.
This cheese is perfect for spring, summer, or any warm day when a refreshing cheese will hit the spot. On a cheese board it looks just lovely and is sure to be a conversation starter.
Fleur Verte Goat Cheese literally melts in your mouth. Serve it with crusty French bread and a crisp Sancerre. Try with Rose or Pinot Gris. Earlier in the day, spread on a baguette and add a bit of fig paste. Beautiful to add to a cheese platter, too.
We hand-cut and wrap Fleur Verte in wedges of 8 ounces and 1 pound. You can also buy an entire wheel of approx. 5 pounds.
