This sweet and savory chutney is made by the Virginia Chutney Company in Washington, VA and is made according to the rich traditions that are alive in our Southern States. Chutney, in general terms, is a condiment that contains fruit, vinegar, sugar and spices. It originated in India and spread to Europe and the rest of the word via England.
The way you like to use chutneys totally depends on you, in the Indian cuisine chutneys are delicious additions to curries, but in the South cooks like to serve chutney on ham, roasts and cornbread and the chutneys from Virginia Chutney Company are also a great (fat-free) accompaniment to your cheese board.
