Manchego is a semi-hard cheese that is characterized by its sweet and nutty flavor and distinguished rind with a zig-zag pattern. It is Spain's poster child for cheese. Manchego is available at all stages of maturity, and its lovely flavor combination of buttery, tart, sweet, and nutty makes it popular for every crowd and cheese board.
Our 6 months old Manchego is still relatively young, but is already drier and harder than its 3 months old cousin.
We sell this 6 months old Manchego in wedge of 8 ounces, and you can also purchase and entire wheel of approx. 7 pounds.
Ingredients:pasteurized 'Manchega' sheep's milk, salt, rennet, cheese cultures and calcium chloride. Preserving agent: egg lysozyme (from egg whites). Rind colorings: caramel.
